30 Days of Thanks — Challenge Terms

Overview

OpenThanks (operated by OpenThanks Inc) may run a simple streak challenge called 30 Days of Thanks. When it's on in the app, send genuine appreciation on 30 consecutive calendar days. You can start any day — it's a rolling streak, not a calendar month.

Finishers don't get cash to keep. They unlock $30 to give away to a real classroom (for example via a DonorsChoose gift card). Details in the app — whether the challenge is live, the streak length, and the giveaway amount — can change.

How to finish

1. Send at least one appreciation each calendar day for 30 days in a row (or the streak length shown in the app).

Miss a day and the streak resets. Progress in the app is a guide; we verify eligibility before unlocking the classroom gift. You need an OpenThanks account in good standing.

The $30 giveaway

Completing the streak unlocks $30 to give away — typically a DonorsChoose gift card(or an equivalent classroom-funding option we provide) so you can support a teacher's project. It is not a personal cash prize.

If you finish, we'll notify you in the app (and may email you) with next steps. We may cap how many finishers unlock funding per campaign, and we may substitute an equivalent classroom gift if DonorsChoose isn't available where you are.

Fair play

We want real gratitude. We may disqualify spam, self-thanks, fake recipients, automated posting, or anything that violates our Terms. We can review activity before unlocking a gift.

Your content & our platform

You still own the words and photos you write. By participating, you also agree to our Terms and Conditions, including the User Content section: OpenThanks needs permission to host and show appreciations on the service, and to keep building the product (including if the company grows or changes ownership someday).

Please don't scrape, republish, or use OpenThanks content, branding, or challenge materials for a commercial product or competing service without our written permission. Personal sharing of your own thank-yous (for example forwarding a link to a friend) is welcome.

Changes

We may modify, pause, or end the challenge at any time — including the giveaway amount, partner, or rules. Updated terms may appear here and/or in the app. Participation is voluntary.
